Good questions.
How do I start the free Pro trial?
Install the plugin, open the trial entry there, create a free account and confirm your email. Then connect that exact website with a one-time code. Only your deliberate click on “Start Pro trial” begins the time and allowance.
Do I need a credit card?
No. The Pro trial needs no credit card. It does not create an automatic subscription or charge.
When does the trial end?
The trial ends after at most 14 days or once 200 successful AI answers have been generated in total, whichever happens first. Your account shows the current status and you receive factual reminders.
What counts towards the 200 AI answers?
Successful AI replies to visitors and newly generated AI handover summaries count. Personal replies from your team and technically failed requests do not. Opening an unchanged saved summary again uses no additional answer.
What happens after the trial?
The website returns to Free, with no bill and no automatic subscription. Your own answers and enquiry form stay available. Conversation data remains available only within the normal retention period you chose and your permitted read and export rights.
Can I use the iPhone app during the trial?
Yes. Alynivo Agent is a free companion app. Sign in with your Alynivo account; an active Pro trial for the connected website can provide the required access. The trial is not purchased or started inside the app.
Where can I see knowledge gaps and results?
Knowledge gaps and extended website results are shown in the Alynivo area inside WordPress. The AI handover summary appears on request directly on the conversation in the browser, WordPress and iPhone inboxes.
What is live chat and what does it cost?
Live chat means the AI runs the conversation and you step in personally when it matters — in the same chat window, without the visitor having to start again. Every conversation appears in one inbox: in the browser, on iPhone, and inside WordPress. Live chat is included in the Pro plan.
Is there an app for my team?
Yes. The Alynivo Agent app is available for iPhone and iPad on the App Store. With Pro your team can see new conversations, follow the AI and take over directly in the app. The inbox also remains available in the browser and inside WordPress.
What happens when nobody on our side is online?
Then Alynivo does not promise a person. Outside the support hours you define, the AI keeps answering questions and asks for an email address when needed, so you can reply properly later.
Are chat transcripts stored?
For the plain AI chat, Alynivo stores no conversation content; the AI provider processes it to answer and deletes it under its own rules, generally within 30 days. With live chat, conversations are stored so you can continue and review them — on a server in Germany, deleted automatically after 30 days by default. You can shorten that to 7 or 14 days, export conversations, and delete any of them at any time. What a visitor types but never sends is never transmitted.
Do I need WooCommerce?
No. With WooCommerce, Alynivo can recommend products and add them to the cart. Without a shop it works as a service assistant for questions, advice and inquiries.
How does this work with the GDPR?
The free assistant processes your saved answers in WordPress and in the browser. Submitted enquiries are delivered by your website's own email service. Funnel analytics stay inside your WordPress installation and are deleted after 90 days. When AI is enabled, messages first pass through the Alynivo API in Germany and then through the transparently disclosed language-model provider. The AI provider does not use API content for model training by default. We provide a DPA and the current subprocessor list before activation.
What counts as an AI answer?
A successfully generated AI answer counts as one message. Technically failed AI requests are not charged. Personal replies from your team do not use the AI allowance. The allowance applies per website and restarts at the beginning of each calendar month (UTC) — regardless of the day your subscription is billed.
What happens when the AI allowance is used up?
Until the end of the month the assistant generates no more AI answers, but your website keeps working: visitors see a notice and the enquiry form, if you have enabled it. Live chat on Pro stays available. You can see how much has been used at any time inside WordPress.
Can I cancel monthly?
Yes. Starter and Pro can be cancelled monthly. The plugin itself stays free to use either way.
How long does setup take?
The plugin installs in minutes, and the setup assistant drafts your business knowledge from your own website. After booking you connect the website with a one-time code — you’re usually live the same day.
